Assistant Editor
We are looking for people with strong editorial background of writing and copy-editing and at least one year of experience in print journalism. Graduates with significant experience are also welcome to apply.
Duties include sorting through press releases, writing monthly features or columns, management of the editorial desk. Editing skills as well as knowledge of QuarkXpress or InDesign CS3 and CMS, and experiences in Web editing using CMS on Open source Platforms is very helpful.
Marketing and Sales Administrator
We're looking for an individual to work with us to promote our sales,
marketing and subscription task in order to take our business of social
publishing to an excellent level of success.

A typical commitment of one to two days per week during normal business hours is required. Minimum time can be from minimum 6 weeks 3 months. Depending on performance, internship positions could lead to long term employment.

Help Humanity Campaign Intern
Society Today Magazine is a national publication. A platform for change, taking a stance on promotion and protection of important issues of human life. We publish stories to inspire our readers. Our stances are in protection of human rights, environment, arts and culture and dialogues between communities. We write and commission our stories to be written to promote values of development, arts and culture and unity among people.
In the current economic climate charities are suffering. Their pure and benevolent activities of charity have to go on even though time is tough. As a platform of voice for peace, progress and humanity, we would like to help the charitable activities as much as we can.
One of the ways by which we are directly able to help and support the charitable activities is by sharing our income.
Help Humanity Campaign is a support wing of Society Today Magazine. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and passionate individual to promote this campaign at a national level.
Tasks include communicating with grassroots charities of all sizes to understand their needs and values, to be able to fathom the requirements they are facing.
Candidate must have abilities to write stories on a number of charitable and humanitarian causes. They must have vision to create publicity opportunities to raise the profiles of the charities we would like to help and support.
Candidate must have ambition to succeed in the post after the period of internship is successfully completed.
Preferably they should have a Media & Communication degree, with abilities to communicate with heads of charitable organisations in a highly confident, professional and well organised way.
Transportation and travel re-numeration will be provided. At least one reference is required.

Arts and Entertainment Intern
It is simple, we hand you the press releases and you tackle the nation's arts and entertainment scene. This could be anything from visiting exhibitions, to attending theatre performances, to interviewing film directors, actors and writing reviews. You are also encouraged to write about subjects like architecture, design and review CDs and gigs. Sales and Marketing Intern
Interns in this role should be looking to start a career in media sales and advertising. The role while require an intern to help us sell Society Today's many advertising slots to companies across the UK, Europe and US. This also includes helping to sell ad space for society-today.com. This may also include promoting Society Today to companies in London. Candidates interested in this role should indicate an interest in media sales or marketing on their CV.
